Actalent is seeking an FPGA Design Engineer in Schaumburg, IL to work on cutting-edge defense systems. You will design, develop, and implement FPGA-based digital logic, own the full lifecycle, and collaborate with RF, systems, hardware, and firmware teams for seamless integration.

The role requires several years of FPGA experience and VHDL expertise, with preference for candidates holding an active Secret clearance. This is a contract-to-hire position based onsite in Schaumburg, IL.

Formación

• This position requires multiple years of FPGA design experience.
• Strong familiarity with VHDL for digital logic design is essential.
• Experience in defense industry standards and security requirements is a plus.
• Candidate should work well in a fast paced, high technology environment.
• Active Secret clearance preferred for eligibility.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and implement FPGA-based digital logic for defense and communications systems.
• Create, optimize, and maintain VHDL code for high-performance, realtime applications.
• Own the full FPGA design lifecycle from requirements through verification and support.
• Collaborate with RF, systems, hardware, and firmware teams for seamless integration.
• Participate in integration, testing, and debugging of FPGA designs in lab environments.
• Debug and resolve FPGA-related issues to ensure reliable mission-critical performance.
• Document design specifications, test procedures, and technical reports clearly.
• Ensure designs comply with defense industry standards and security requirements.
• Contribute to system-level integration efforts for EW, RF, and related technologies.
• Drive continuous improvement of design processes and tool flows.
