Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is seeking a highly skilled Principal FPGA Engineer contractor in Cedar Rapids, IA for a 6+ months program. You will lead FPGA design, verification, and integration across high-performance digital cores, working within the ART Microelectronics Technology team.

The role requires extensive VHDL/Verilog expertise, experience with FPGA platforms and toolchains, and strong collaboration in Agile environments; US citizenship is required.

Qualificações

• STEM degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Minimum 5 years of FPGA development, ASIC front end, or related areas.
• Proficiency in VHDL/Verilog for FPGA/ASIC design and implementation.
• Experience in digital circuit architecture, timing analysis and timing closure.
• Familiarity with FPGA platforms and toolchains (Vivado, Quartus, Libero).
• Strong debugging skills and experience with revision control.

Responsabilidades

• Adhere to Engineering Development and Quality processes and guidelines.
• Participate in Agile team meetings and planning activities.
• Requirements, design and verification of FPGA solutions.
• Integration of developed FPGA on target hardware units.
• Support peer reviews and certification analysis activities.
• Peer review FPGA development artifacts.
• Recommend new tools and practices for continuous improvement in the design flow.
• Contribute to engineering estimates for new programs.
