Job summary

RTX in McKinney, TX is seeking a Senior FPGA Design Engineer to join the FPGA Architects team within Electrical Engineering. You will develop FPGA designs for multiple device families, implement using VHDL/Verilog, and collaborate across hardware and systems teams to deliver robust firmware and FPGA embedded processing solutions.

The role requires 5+ years in FPGA design, hands-on FPGA integration, and experience with Xilinx/AMD, Altera/Intel, or Microchip devices.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 5+ years of FPGA design experience.
• Experience with Xilinx/AMD FPGAs and devices.
• Strong VHDL or Verilog coding skills.
• Hands-on integration with FPGA-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop FPGA designs for major vendors and device families.
• Implement designs using VHDL/Verilog for RF DSP, data links, and embedded processing.
• Collaborate with circuit card designers and systems engineers to derive requirements, architect new designs, and model algorithms.
• Verify designs against requirements using directed test and constrained random testing.
• Provide design documentation and configuration management through integration and test.
