Job summary

nVent is seeking a Finance professional to join its Commercial Finance team in Minnesota. The role supports core financial processes, collaborates with general managers, and drives predictable, profitable growth through data-driven recommendations and strategic analysis.

The ideal candidate has a BA/BS in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years in FP&A or corporate finance, and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, OneStream XF (or similar). MBA or CPA/CMA is desirable, with a hybrid work model in place.

Qualifications

• Requires a BA/BS in Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA/CMA desirable.
• 3+ years of experience in Financial Planning, Operational Finance or Corporate Finance.
• Ability to communicate and build relationships with personnel at all levels.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and OneStream XF or similar.

Responsibilities

• Support core financial processes: Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly Forecasts, Monthly and Weekly Reporting & Analysis.
• Analyze data and provide recommendations on new product introductions, sales channels, and sourcing opportunities.
• Analyze orders, backlog, and industry trends to assess performance relative to peers.
• Support capital and expense investments and working capital initiatives; track progress and targets.
