Job summary

Soni is seeking a Senior Manager of FP&A in New York, a high-impact role responsible for financial planning, analysis, and reporting across a complex logistics operation. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and KPI development to inform strategic decisions.

You will build and maintain advanced financial models, support M&A activity, and partner with executives to drive performance and efficiencies. This role requires strong analytical capabilities and effective communication.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years in FP&A
• Private equity-backed experience preferred
• Logistics/project-based service background desirable
• Strong data-driven approach and problem solving
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
• Excellent presentation and communication abilities

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee financial reporting framework with KPIs and dashboards
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis
• Perform variance, trend, and scenario analyses to identify opportunities
• Analyze profitability by customer, project, service line, and location
• Prepare weekly reports on key financial and operational metrics
• Partner with operations to evaluate costs of complex logistics projects
• Support strategic initiatives with financial modeling and capex analysis
• Assist M&A activities with due diligence, valuation, and integration planning
• Communicate results to senior leadership with actionable recommendations
• Improve financial processes and reporting visibility across the org
• Build sophisticated financial models for key business decisions
• Translate data into insights for financial and non-financial stakeholders
• Collaborate across finance, operations, sales, and leadership to improve forecasting
