Job summary

Nordstrom in Seattle, WA is seeking a Finance leader to join our Corporate FP&A team in a hybrid role. You will own the enterprise financial close, ensuring accuracy and coordination across Accounting, FP&A, and business partners.

This role also leads MBR and Board reporting, translating results into executive narratives tied to drivers and risks. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in finance, strong Excel skills, and a proven track record in driver-based modeling and mentoring teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or economics required.
• 8+ years of experience in finance or economics with scope and accountability progression.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills for early and mid-career professionals.
• Experience with corporate metrics and analytical methods.
• Driver-based model building that is scalable and flexible; advanced Excel skills including formulas, functions and pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Lead the enterprise financial close process across Accounting, FP&A and business partners.
• Identify and resolve close-related issues and risks, driving continuous improvement.
• Own MBR and Board reporting with enterprise-level narratives that connect results to drivers and risks.
• Support chart-of-accounts implementation and governance communications in Finance.
• Assist in report automation and process improvements; build and develop a high-performing team.
