Job summary

vTv Therapeutics Inc. is seeking an Associate Director, FP&A to lead forecasting, budgeting and analysis in a fully remote role across the United States.

You will own models for operating expenses, headcount and cash flow, partnering with Clinical Operations, R&D, Accounting and G&A to shape capital allocation. The role reports to the CFO and serves as the dedicated FP&A partner to program teams and leadership.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience incl. 5+ years in biotech/pharma R&D.
• Advanced financial modeling in Excel; ownership of Opex and cash forecast models.
• US GAAP knowledge; forecasting methodologies; R&D accruals and expense recognition.

Responsibilities

• Own the annual budget, quarterly reforecast and long-range plan with consolidated Opex, headcount and cash flow models.
• Partner with Clinical Operations to translate enrollment, site activation, CRO contracts and change orders into forecast spend.
• Support headcount and personnel cost planning, including stock-based compensation inputs with HR and Accounting.
• Serve as FP&A partner to program teams and functional leaders, embedding financial insight into day-to-day decisions.
• Evaluate strategic opportunities, challenge assumptions and support disciplined resource allocation and portfolio priorities.
• Identify risks and opportunities early, propose practical solutions.
• Translate complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations for non-finance audiences.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual reporting packages and executive narratives for CFO, leadership and the Board.
• Support accounting close with focus on R&D accruals; provide inputs for SEC filings and earnings materials.
• Maintain data accuracy across models and source systems.
• Advance planning systems and analytics; promote AI/automation in FP&A.
