Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an FP&A Business Line Leader to oversee financial analysis and planning for a designated business line such as Advisory or Specialty Assurance. The role collaborates with leaders to provide insights, drive strategic decisions and improve financial performance.

The position involves planning, forecasting, budgets and long-term plans, with emphasis on leveraging technology and cross-functional collaboration to deliver actionable financial insights.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of finance experience in a professional services firm or similar.
• Experience with FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Leverages technology to research, compile and analyze financial information, both standard and ad hoc.
• Monitors and analyzes financial performance against budgets/forecasts.
• Researches and determines causes of budget variances and communicates to the leaders.
• Works with leaders this role supports to prepare budgets, forecasts and long-term plans.
• Provides supplemental financial processes/systems training to end users, and shares knowledge.
• Monitors UAR, AR and reserve balances for assigned region(s) and manages follow up tasks.
• Supports preparation of executive management and board meeting materials.
• Leading and managing FP&A activities for a client base with a medium scope of responsibility.
• Provide insight & analysis to leaders.
• Strategically partner with firm leaders to anticipate issues, maximize profitability, and minimize risk.
