Job summary

Vasion seeks a Senior Director of FP&A to lead our financial planning and analysis function and serve as the CFO's key partner in steering the business. This leader owns the operating plan, forecast, and long‑range model, translating SaaS performance data into clear insights for executives, the Board, and investors.

You will lead a team of finance professionals, partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and R&D, and play a central role in strategic initiatives including

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA/CFA a plus.
• 12+ years of progressive finance experience, including 5+ years leading FP&A teams, ideally in a B2B SaaS or software company.
• Deep working knowledge of SaaS business models and metrics, including ARR waterfalls, cohort and retention analysis, and bookings‑to‑revenue relationships.
• Demonstrated experience preparing Board and investor reporting; experience in a PE‑backed or investor‑governed environment is strongly preferred.
• Hands‑on M&A modeling and diligence experience, including integration planning.
• Expert‑level financial modeling skills and proficiency with ERP, CRM (e.g., Salesforce), and planning tools (e.g., Adaptive, Anaplan, or similar); strong Excel and BI skills.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders, simplify complex data, and communicate clearly in writing and presentations.
• Track record of building, coaching, and retaining high‑performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, and multi‑year long‑range plan.
• Build and maintain ARR, bookings, billings, retention, and churn models.
• Prepare Board materials, monthly and quarterly management reporting, and investor reporting.
• Partner with functional leaders to provide variance analysis, headcount and spend planning, pricing and packaging analysis.
• Lead financial modeling for acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic investments.
• Hire, develop, and lead FP&A team; drive reporting automation and accuracy.
• Drive improvements to planning tools, data pipelines, and reporting across ERP, CRM, billing, and planning platforms.
• Deliver rapid, high‑quality ad hoc analyses on pricing and capital allocation.
