Total Wine & More is seeking a Director of FP&A to join our Finance team in Bethesda, MD. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and provide actionable insights to guide resource allocation and strategic initiatives across Store Operations and HR.

The role requires 10+ years in FP&A, strong leadership, and expertise in retail finance, budgeting, modeling, and data-driven decision-making. You will partner with cross-functional teams to optimize profitability and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of FP&A, operational finance, or similar experience.
• Strong financial acumen and FP&A expertise, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
• Deep knowledge of retail finance, profitability drivers, merchandising metrics, and inventory management.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate data into strategic insights.
• Proficiency in financial software/tools (Excel, ERP systems like SAP/Oracle, BI platforms like Power BI/Tableau).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence across all levels.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities; experience driving cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning for Store Operations and HR.
• Partner with Store Operations leadership and cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support strategic decisions.
• Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights for executive decision-making.
• Optimize FP&A processes, models, and reporting tools for efficiency and decision support.
• Collaborate with Stores and other functions to manage operating expenses and support strategic initiatives.
• Oversee preparation and presentation of monthly financial reports and KPIs for senior leadership.
• Drive cross-functional financial analyses related to store initiatives, capital investments, and productivity improvements.
• Oversee development and maintenance of reporting packages and dashboards.
