Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union is seeking a Budget Planning and Analysis Sr Analyst in hybrid Sacramento, CA. This senior finance role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, translating data into actionable insights for strategic decisions.

You will develop financial models, manage monthly variance reviews, and partner with leadership to enhance reporting and planning processes while ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required.
• 5+ years of experience in budgeting, FP&A, accounting, or related roles required.
• Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting processes required.
• Financial institution experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term projections.
• Support the development of the annual budget and multi-year plans.
• Manage integrated budgeting and reforecasting aligned with monthly variance reviews.
• Lead monthly and quarterly variance analysis and challenge assumptions.
• Lead quarterly peer reporting with benchmarking and collaboration with peers.
• Support ACL process under CECL model with cross-functional partners.
• Analyze income, expenses, loans, deposits, and balance sheet activity to identify trends and opportunities.
• Develop monthly board reporting packages and executive performance insights.
• Ensure GAAP compliance in analysis and reporting for regulatory alignment.
• Support KPI dashboards, management reporting, and financial analyses for decision making.
• Research economic conditions and industry trends to inform forecasting assumptions.
• Support process improvements in planning, forecasting, and reporting.
