Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union is seeking a Sup - Accounting to lead and develop the Accounting Department, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. The role reports to the Sr Manager - Accounting and oversees payroll, journals, and monthly close processes in a hybrid Sacramento setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required.
• 5+ years of progressively increasing responsibilities in accounting ideally gained in a financial institution or equivalent experience required.
• Leadership experience or responsibility in a supervisory role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Accounting Department team members to meet the credit union’s goals, coaching and developing staff.
• Oversee general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and monthly accounting reports.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards; coordinate audits and regulatory examinations.
