Job summary

The Simplot Company in Boise, Idaho seeks a Senior Analyst for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join the Central FP&A team. You will support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for Simplot AgriBusiness Retail, partnering with finance and business leaders to deliver insights and drive profitability.

You will develop financial models, analyze performance, and prepare dashboards and management materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, analytical, and quantitative problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with FP&A tools.
• Experience with SAP, SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, Power Query, or similar platforms preferred.
• Ability to translate complex financial concepts for finance and non-finance audiences.
• Strong collaboration, influencing, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Five or more years of related FP&A experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and long-range planning processes for Simplot AgriBusiness Retail.
• Coordinate planning inputs across business units and functions to support consistency and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Develop and maintain financial models used to forecast revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, cash flow, and other key metrics.
• Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis to evaluate assumptions, risks, and opportunities.
• Consolidate forecasts and plans and communicate significant changes to finance and business leaders.
• Serve as a finance partner to business leaders by providing financial guidance and analytical support.
• Translate complex financial data into meaningful insights and practical recommendations.
• Build effective working relationships across Finance, Operations, Commercial, HR, Technology, and other functions.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial performance reporting and management review materials.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools to improve visibility into financial and operational performance.
