Job summary

USA Rare Earth is seeking a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst (Upstream) in Wheat Ridge, CO. You will own budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling for development-stage mining projects and support leadership with clear financial insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 4+ years of FP&A or corporate finance experience.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills, including three-statement and project cash flow models.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, able to present to non-financial audiences.
  • Self-starter in a fast-paced, development-stage environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and enhance financial models, including project economics, capex/opex forecasts, and life-of-mine cash flow models.
  • Lead annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasts, consolidating inputs from multiple functions.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly management reporting with variance analysis and drivers.
  • Track development capital spend against budgets and AFEs; flag overruns and trends.
  • Monitor and forecast liquidity, supporting working capital during development.
  • Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis on key value drivers (prices, grades, costs).
  • Translate feasibility study assumptions into financial forecasts with technical teams.
  • Contribute to finance processes, controls, and reporting infrastructure as the company scales.
  • Support ad hoc analysis and strategic initiatives as directed by leadership.
