Job summary

USA Rare Earth is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across manufacturing operations. You will partner with operations, supply chain, sales, and accounting to analyze costs, monitor KPIs, and provide leaders with clear financial visibility to plan and grow.

The ideal candidate is analytically rigorous and adept with large data sets, turning numbers into actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 4+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, or cost accounting in manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills with modeling and complex formulas.
• Experience with ERP systems and extracting data from operational systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasts for manufacturing operations.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial results with variance explanations.
• Develop and maintain product- and plant-level cost models (COGS and margins).
• Conduct pricing analyses for sales and commercial teams (cost-plus, margins).
• Track and report manufacturing KPIs such as unit cost, labor, overhead, scrap, inventory turns.
• Identify cost-savings opportunities with cross-functional partners.
• Build and evaluate business cases for capital expenditures (ROI, NPV).
• Track capital expenditures against budgets; report variances and forecasts.
• Support monthly/quarterly financial reporting and dashboards.
• Improve models, tools, and processes for accuracy and speed.
