Berkley Mid-Atlantic Group (BMAG) is seeking a Senior Financial Planning Analyst in Glen Allen, VA. You will manage the annual planning process, forecast monthly results, and create analytic schedules supporting initiatives.

The role emphasizes variance analysis, financial control, and KPI development. Ideal candidates have a business/finance/accounting background and insurance experience, with strong Excel, Oracle PeopleSoft, Visual Basic, and SQL skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or eight years related experience.
• Property/Casualty or other Insurance industry experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; Oracle PeopleSoft, Visual Basic and SQL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage annual planning process and monthly forecasts.
• Prepare variance analyses and financial statements with journal entries and management reports.
• Provide modeling support to assess scenarios and plans.
• Develop KPIs, dashboards and scorecards for operating units.
• Support SOX documentation and financial controls.
