Berkley Mid-Atlantic Group (BMAG) is hiring a Senior Financial Planning Analyst in Virginia to lead the annual planning process and monthly forecasts, and provide financial analyses for strategic initiatives. The role involves evaluating variances, supporting planning inputs, and producing management reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting, or 8 years related experience.
• Property/Casualty or other Insurance industry experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Proactive, self-starter with time-management skills.
• Strong customer orientation and responsiveness to inquiries.
• Strong communication with internal and external partners.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook; Oracle PeopleSoft, Visual Basic and SQL preferred.

Responsabilités

• Manage annual planning process and monthly forecasts.
• Prepare analytic schedules for variance from plan/forecast.
• Provide financial analyses to support initiatives.
• Monitor systems, controls, and prepare journal entries and reports.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly calculations for reinsurance, expenses, losses.
• Assist in annual planning forecasts and modeling scenarios.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly management reporting on actual vs. plan.
• Support SOX documentation and processes.
• Develop KPIs, dashboards and scorecards; drive efficiency via data warehousing.
