Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to partner with federal government customers, architect end-to-end data & AI solutions on the Databricks platform, and deliver production-grade systems with strong customer empathy.

You will own architecture, lead design decisions, and implement solutions spanning data engineering, AI, and application development, working across engineering, product, and developer relations to maximize impact for government clients.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, analytics, or software engineering.
• Fluency in Python, Scala, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with two or more cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) with depth in at least one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models and AI APIs.
• Ability to design end-to-end data architectures and user-facing apps.
