Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work with strategic clients in the financial services sector. You will blend engineering excellence with customer collaboration, delivering production-ready microservices and cloud-native solutions using AWS, Kafka, and modern event-driven patterns.

You will lead workshops, shape architectural designs, and create compelling proofs-of-concept, with a strong emphasis on whiteboarding and hands-on delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering with client-facing roles in financial services preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business; advanced degree a plus.
• Ability to travel 20-30% on average; US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical contact for strategic client accounts and build deep relationships.
• Lead discovery sessions to understand client architectures and business objectives.
• Translate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Design scalable, production-ready solutions with client architects and internal teams.
• Provide guidance on microservices, event-driven systems, and cloud deployment patterns.
• Prototype POCs and deliver polished demos tailored to client stacks.
