Job summary

Veeam is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to own the technical strategy for our most strategic customers. You will drive deployments across hybrid environments, design scalable architectures, and build repeatable automation patterns for the broader team.

In this hands‑on role, you’ll work with executives and security/privacy leaders to translate complex data, privacy, and AI needs into practical, scalable solutions. This position requires deep technical expertise and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in deeply technical, customer-facing roles such as forward‑deployed engineering or solutions engineering.
• Strong software engineering skills in at least one language (Python/Go/TypeScript).
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, containers, Linux, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience deploying and operating solutions across complex enterprise environments.
• Understanding of APIs, data stores, and data workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own technical delivery for the most complex customer accounts from deployment to daily use.
• Lead deployments across hybrid environments (cloud, on-prem, Kubernetes, Linux).
• Define architecture for customers with complex data estates and security needs.
• Build reusable integrations, agents, and playbooks for the FDE team.
• Mentor other engineers and lead architecture sessions with executives.
