Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer to work with federal government customers, owning end-to-end data and AI solutions on the Databricks platform. You will lead architecture decisions, deliver production-grade systems, and train customer teams while traveling 20–25% of the time.

This role blends engineering with direct business impact in a hybrid setting. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in data engineering or software, deep Spark experience, and strong Python/Scala/JS skills,

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data engineering, data platforms or software engineering.
• Fluency in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks.
• Experience with two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade solutions for federal government customers from design to deployment.
• Architect scalable data and AI solutions across data pipelines and applications.
• Collaborate with engineers, product teams and customers to ensure successful delivery.
