Job summary

Staffbase is seeking an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer to extend our AI-native Employee Experience Platform for enterprise customers. You’ll own solutions from concept to delivery, working across UI, backend services, and integrations while mentoring a growing team of engineers.

You’ll collaborate with stakeholders, design use cases, and validate outcomes in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with a focus on quality, testing, and responsible ownership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional fullstack development experience.
• Strong frontend with React.js, TypeScript and JavaScript; solid backend in Kotlin/Java/Node.js.
• Experience with REST APIs, SDKs and external integrations.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and shape team processes.
• Comfort communicating with stakeholders in English and German.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development of custom Staffbase solutions.
• Define use cases with customers and validate delivered solutions.
• Build UI in React/TypeScript, backend services, and integrations.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and establish engineering standards.
• Contribute to a cross-functional, agile team and participate in code reviews.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and continuously improve code quality.
