Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer to work with customers, own architecture, and productionize solutions on the Databricks platform.

You will lead design decisions and implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development with strong customer empathy. This hands‑on, customer‑facing role requires collaboration with engineering, product, and developer relations to deliver measurable business outcomes and scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms or software engineering.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks.
• Experience with two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong knowledge of Spark and distributed computing concepts.
• Experience delivering customer-facing technical projects with measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead production‑grade solution delivery, including reference architectures and data ingestion.
• Guide strategic customers through end‑to‑end design, build, and deployment of data and AI applications.
• Own architecture decisions to ensure secure, scalable solutions aligned with customer needs.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and support to accelerate delivery and provide feedback.
• Embedd with customer teams and stakeholders, from engineers to executives, to drive impact.
