Job summary

EY Technology Consulting in the United States seeks a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to help build AI systems for clients. You will work with client teams, write production code, and deliver solutions that fit client environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of applied engineering experience, including AI/ML engineering roles
• Strong understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI delivery patterns
• Experience building production-grade RAG systems with safety guardrails
• Familiarity with agentic AI workflows and multi-step processes
• Hands-on Python or Java with cloud exposure and CI/CD
• Ability to work with client stakeholders when requirements are unclear
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to EY offices and client locations
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with client teams to translate requirements into AI solutions
• Design, develop, test, and deploy production-grade AI systems
• Implement evaluation, monitoring, and safety checks for solutions
• Contribute to system design across services, data flows, and security
• Estimate efforts, document work, and communicate status
• Produce reusable code, patterns, and demonstrations for proposals
• Use AI-assisted engineering tools as part of daily delivery
• Support delivery through risk identification and client liaison
