Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer III to lead architecture for AI platforms and SaaS integrations in a high-scale cloud environment. You will drive IaC strategy, implement reusable modules, and mentor engineers across security and reliability domains.

You'll collaborate with platform, security, and business teams to optimize capacity and cost while delivering secure, scalable AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in infrastructure, platform, or enterprise systems engineering (or 3+ years with a Master's).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field; technical degree preferred.
• Ability to own initiatives end-to-end while coordinating multiple teams across platforms and security.
• Hands-on experience with public cloud IaaS and IaC tooling; building reusable modules and policy-as-code.
• Proficiency in Python or Go with a track record of automation reducing toil and cost.

Responsibilities

• Own service and integration architecture for AI platforms and enterprise systems with security and cost focus.
• Design reusable IaC modules and automation frameworks; implement policy-as-code
• Lead incident resolution, RCA, and post-incident analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Design integration architectures connecting internal platforms and SaaS systems with security and compliance.
• Define SLOs and implement observability via telemetry, tests, and alerting for actionable signals.
• Champion automation and SaaS integration best practices across teams.
