Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a Principal AI Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with business units, translating ambiguous AI challenges into measurable outcomes and rapidly prototype, productionize, and scale AI-powered solutions. You will coach senior engineers, partner with executives, and help ensure responsible AI adoption across travel platforms.

In CTO Enablement, you will define a north-star AI vision, shepherd cross-functional engagements, and drive value realization while balancing speed,

Qualifications

Bachelor's or higher degree with substantial professional software/AI experience.
Hands-on experience building, deploying, or operating AI-enabled systems and applying AI/ML concepts to real-world products.
Experience leading multi-team initiatives, coaching senior contributors, and influencing architecture choices.

Responsibilities

Partner with business units to identify high-value AI opportunities and measurable outcomes.
Own the full lifecycle of AI initiatives—from discovery to deployment and value realization.
Define success metrics and pragmatic delivery plans across teams and domains.
Establish and evangelize engineering standards for AI across multiple teams.
Mentor engineers and develop technical leaders across the organization.
