Job summary

PTR Global is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer - Fixed Income in New York, NY. This embedded role partners with Fixed Income teams to translate business workflows into production‑grade AI solutions.

You will design, prototype, and deploy generative AI applications using Python and OpenAI or Claude SDKs, build retrieval pipelines, and ensure governance, security, and compliance while collaborating with traders, risk, operations, and technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience building AI or data-driven applications that use APIs, databases, cloud services, and enterprise data sources.

Responsibilities

• Embed with Fixed Income teams in New York to understand workflows, pain points, and AI opportunities.
• Partner with traders, sales, research, operations, risk, compliance, and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into AI-enabled solutions.
• Design, prototype, and build generative AI applications using Python, OpenAI or Claude Agent SDK, and other agentic frameworks.
• Develop AI solutions for Fixed Income use cases such as knowledge retrieval, workflow automation, document analysis, trade support, and management reporting.
• Build retrieval pipelines across structured and unstructured data including research, policies, and client documents.
• Apply prompt engineering techniques to improve model accuracy, consistency, explainability, and user trust.
