Long Ridge Partners is seeking an experienced AI/Forward Deployed Engineer to build practical AI applications for buy-side clients in New York. You will work closely with investment, research, and business teams to turn workflows into productive AI solutions, deploying tools and automation that scale with user needs.

You should bring hands-on AI experience, strong Python coding, and a track record of delivering production-ready systems using LLMs, APIs, and cloud data sources.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals, Python-focused.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs / Generative AI.
• Experience with APIs, databases, data, and cloud environments.
• Knowledge of RAG, agents, embeddings, prompt engineering, or LLM evaluation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with limited direction.
• Comfort translating business problems into technical solutions.

Responsabilités

• Work directly with investment, research, and business teams to understand workflows and identify where AI can add value.
• Build and deploy AI-powered applications, internal tools, and workflows.
• Work with LLMs, APIs, proprietary data, and third‑party data sources.
• Develop solutions around research automation, information retrieval, document analysis, data extraction, and other internal workflows.
• Take projects from idea to prototype and production.
• Gather user feedback and continuously improve what you build.
• Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams on deployment, security, scalability, and reliability.
