Job summary

Search Chain Partners is assisting in a confidential search for a Head of Forward Deployed Engineering in New York. You will lead a global FDE team, owning deployment outcomes and turning field learnings into scalable product features.

You will report to the CTO and collaborate with CEO, Product, GTM and Customer Success. The role is full-time and hybrid in New York, with deep engagement with top banks and PE firms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years leading forward deployed, solutions or client-facing engineering teams.
• Background at a tier 1 technology company, AI lab or high-growth scale-up; similar experience at OpenAI/Anthropic/Scale AI/Databricks/Stripe is relevant
• Top academic record in CS/Math/Engineering from leading university
• Hands-on depth in Python, cloud infra and LLM systems (agents, RAG, evaluation)

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the team of Forward Deployed Engineers across regions.
• Set hiring bar for tier 1 engineering talent with strong client judgement.
• Create career paths, performance standards and culture of ownership.
• Accountable for deployment success from pilot to enterprise rollout across bank and PE accounts.
• Build repeatable deployment playbook: scoping, integration, security reviews and go-live.
• Lead the most strategic client engagements.
• Define and track time-to-value, adoption, expansion and client satisfaction.
