Job summary

NFI is looking for a Forklift Operator II to join our Illinois warehouse team. The role focuses on moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise while spending 50% or more of time operating forklifts, with an emphasis on safety and productivity.

Responsibilities include safe equipment operation, pre-operation inspections, loading/unloading, order picking, staging for outbound shipments, and RF-scanned inventory control.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years forklift operation experience and/or experience with warehouse equipment.
• Must qualify and pass NFI forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies.

Responsibilities

• Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following safety procedures.
• Completes pre-operation inspection forms for equipment.
• Stacks and stores merchandise in designated locations.
• Unloads inbound shipments and transports product to storage locations.
• Pulls, stages, and prepares products for outbound shipment.
• Verifies correct quantity and product type are loaded and shipped.
• Performs order picking accurately and promptly.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and product security through required documentation.
