Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move, locate, stack, and count merchandise within the warehouse. The role includes operating forklifts, performing pre-operation inspections, and supporting inventory accuracy. You may also assist with order picking and staging, while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has basic math skills, strong attention to detail, and customer-service oriented mindset. Certification through NFI forklift program is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Pref 6 months forklift operation experience.
• Must qualify and pass NFI forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies.

Responsibilities

• Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following established work practices and safety procedures.
• Maintains required documentation and reports to support inventory accuracy and product security.
• Assists with physical inventory counts and periodic cycle counts as directed.
• Uses RF scanning devices to support accurate inventory management.
• Performs order picking and moves product to staging or trailers as needed.
• Ensures inventory is rotated in accordance with company standards.
