Job summary

Forward Air Corp. in Olive Branch, MS is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely load, unload, and move freight in a busy multimodal terminal. You will operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts and reach trucks, follow procedures, and maintain accurate cargo documentation.

This role requires a valid forklift certification, a high school diploma or GED, and 3+ years of dock or warehouse experience. You must communicate clearly in English and lift up to 50 lbs regularly, with occasional heavier loads

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Valid forklift certification/licensure required.
• 3+ years of dock or warehouse experience required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to recognize numbers, labels, barcodes, and freight markings accurately.
• Willingness to learn basic computer systems and handheld scanners.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklifts and other MHE.
• Move, stage, sort, and position freight between dock doors and designated areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading following safety procedures.
• Label, scan, and track freight for accuracy and documentation.
