Job summary

Forward Air Corp. in Oklahoma City is seeking a Freight Handler (Forklift Operator) to load, unload, and move freight using sit-down/stand-up forklifts and other MHE. Responsibilities include staging, scanning, and documenting cargo within a busy multimodal terminal.

Qualifications include 3+ years dock/warehouse experience and a valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain). Evening shifts and weekend coverage apply; safety and accuracy are essential to daily operations.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Valid forklift certification/licensure required (or ability to obtain).
• 3+ years of dock/warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload freight using sit-down/stand-up forklifts and other MHE.
• Move, stage, sort and position freight between doors and dock areas.
• Label, scan, and track freight for accuracy and documentation.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading following safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe dock environment and follow PPE standards.
• Work assigned schedules including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
