Job summary

Forward Air Corp. is seeking a Forklift Operator in Minnesota to safely load, unload, and move freight in a busy multimodal terminal environment. You will work with sit-down/stand-up forklifts and other MHE, ensuring accuracy and documentation integrity.

Responsibilities include scanning and tracking freight, assisting with dock coordination, and mentoring newer associates as needed. Strong English communication and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain) required.
• 3+ years of dock/warehouse experience required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic to verify freight counts, quantities, and weights.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload freight using sit-down/stand-up forklifts and other MHE as applicable.
• Move, stage, and position freight between dock doors and designated areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping and delivery.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading following safety procedures.
• Label, scan, and track freight using handheld devices to ensure accuracy.
