Job summary

Alta Equipment Group seeks a Master Forklift Field Service Technician to service our Itasca, IL location. This first-shift role involves preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of forklifts and related equipment for our customer base.

Qualifications

• At least two years of forklift repair experience.
• Strong knowledge of electric and liquid propane units.
• Own tools and valid driver's license.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Experience with service documentation and reporting.
• Proficient with maintenance software and CRM tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on customer forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair various forms of customer equipment.
• Complete repairs in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate clearly with customers.
• Work and manage workloads independently.
• Submit required documentation promptly.
• Maintain company vehicle and on-board parts inventory.
• Incorporate Alta’s Guiding Principles into daily activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain consistent, regular attendance.
