Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) is a leading engineering and scientific investigation firm providing forensic analysis on complex mechanical failures and personal injury matters.

We seek a seniorMechanical Engineer to lead multidisciplinary projects, supervise field work, and deliver expert reports and testimony. You will apply stress analysis, fatigue and fracture mechanics, and advanced analytical methods while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree or Ph.D. strongly preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and coordinates complex forensic investigations and multidisciplinary projects related to mechanical engineering failures, product liability, and personal injury matters.
• Conducts and supervises field investigations of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Performs advanced engineering analysis using mechanics principles including stress analysis, failure analysis, fatigue, fracture mechanics, and dynamic loading.
• Authors high-quality technical reports and expert opinions; reviews and oversees reports prepared by junior consultants.
• Provides expert testimony at deposition and trial.
• Conducts client presentations and develops work plans and staffing for each phase of project.
