Engineering Systems Inc. (ESI) seeks an experienced mechanical engineer for forensic investigations and consulting services. The role involves leading field inspections, performing mechanical analyses, and producing expert reports for complex failures and liability matters.

You will present findings to clients, testify when required, and mentor junior staff while contributing to business development efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate forensic mechanical investigations.
• Conduct field investigations and site inspections of mechanical systems.
• Perform engineering analysis (stress, fatigue, failure, dynamic loading).
• Author technical reports and expert opinions on mechanical matters.
• Provide expert testimony at deposition and trial.
• Deliver client presentations and contribute to business development.
• Set work plans and staffing for each project phase.
• Manage projects within schedule and budget; coordinate with teams.
• Occasionally travel for national practice.
