Job summary
Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) seeks a Senior Consultant (Civil Structural Engineer) for our Atlanta area practice. The role focuses on directing forensic investigations, evaluating structural damage, and delivering expert analyses and reports.
Strong client interaction and leadership are essential, with occasional travel to project sites. Qualified candidates have PE licensure, 10–15 years in consulting, and proficiency with IBC/ASCE/ACI/AISC standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required; SE license a plus.
- 10–15 years of civil/structural engineering consulting experience.
- Experience with codes (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC) and forensic investigations.
Responsibilities
- Plans, directs, and coordinates forensic investigations related to civil/structural failures.
- Conducts site inspections and evaluates structural damage and construction quality.
- Performs structural analysis and calculations to support opinions.
- Authors technical reports and expert opinions; provides testimony as needed.
- Leads client presentations and business development activities.
