Job summary

Engineering Systems, Inc. (ESi) seeks experienced civil/structural engineers for field inspections and forensic investigations across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You will develop technical reports, provide expert opinions, and assist with proposals and client communications.

The role emphasizes cross-disciplinary collaboration, mentoring junior staff, and adhering to QA/QC standards within a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering required.
• MS degree in Civil / Structural Engineering preferred.
• P.E. license preferred or ability to obtain within 2 years of employment.
• Experience in forensic or consulting environment preferred.
• Structural inspection and condition assessment experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections of residential, commercial, transportation and industrial structures to determine causes and origins of damage and provide repair recommendations.
• Prepare clear, rigorous technical reports, visual exhibits, and expert opinions for litigation or insurance matters.
• Provide expert witness testimony via deposition and trial as needed.
• Offer consulting on civil engineering design and construction topics within area of expertise.
• Confer with project personnel to provide guidance and resolve problems.
• Conduct client and technical presentations and prepare project proposals including scopes, schedules, budgets, and staffing.
