Job summary

Vertex is seeking a Senior Forensic Engineer to expand our testifying expert team. This role will be responsible for testifying and providing expert support on civil cases, including construction defect litigation matters. The Director is also responsible for supporting client satisfaction and employee engagement.

They will lead a team of consultants, oversee hiring and career development, and drive quality and profitability within the practice while modeling Vertex's values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 15 years of related experience, or Master's degree and 12 years of related experience with 7+ years in a leadership role.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensed is required, with multiple states preferred.
• Previous deposition and testimony experience is required.
• Proven track record of customer relationship management and staff management and development.

Responsibilities

• Lead testifying expert team in civil cases, including construction defect matters.
• Support client satisfaction and employee engagement within the practice.
• Oversee and develop a team of consultants, including hiring, placement and career development.
• Suggest potential solutions for new challenges and opportunities identified within the market.
• Travel as necessary to support client and leadership needs.
