Job summary

Skechers is seeking a Sr. Footwear Designer to lead the next generation of footwear under the VP of Design. The role blends design excellence with market insights, collaborating with marketing, sales, and development teams to deliver stylish, cost-efficient products across global markets.

Ideal candidates have deep knowledge of fashion trends, production processes, and strong Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop skills, with a track record of delivering prototypes and trend-driven concepts.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of fashion trends and market directions.
• Strong collaboration with designers, colorists, technicians and merchandisers.
• Ability to sketch shoes accurately and provide detailed specifications.
• Knowledge of footwear production processes at factory level.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative, cost-efficient brand footwear aligned with market trends.
• Collaborate with design management, development, and marketing on projects.
• Create high-quality renderings and CADs for concepts and samples.
• Prepare tech packs for outsole and upper designs with accuracy.
• Translate concepts into prototypes and samples that reflect the design.
• Lead seasonal product strategies and present trend boards.
• Coordinate with developers in US and Asia on line schedules and calendars.
