Job summary

Skechers is seeking a Jr. Footwear Designer to transform fashion trends into high-quality performance footwear. You will create innovative designs, work with cross-functional teams, and develop CADs to reflect your concepts while aligning with cost targets.

You will travel to research trends, present seasonal strategies, and coordinate with development teams in the US and Asia to ensure on-time delivery. A degree in footwear or related design field and 1–2 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in footwear, fashion or industrial design or related experience.
• 1–2 years in footwear design or related field.
• Ability to sketch accurately and provide detailed specs.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative and stylish footwear design concepts.
• Collaborate with Design Management and Development to meet target costs.
• Research fashion trends through travel, markets, and tradeshows.
• Create accurate CADs quickly and efficiently.
• Build seasonal product strategies and trend boards.
• Coordinate with merchandisers on product line plans and pricing.
• Work with developers in US and Asia to meet calendars.
