Job summary

Applitrack seeks a Food Service Supervisor to oversee USDA programs across multiple campuses and ensure compliant, high-quality operations. The role supervises campus food service managers, coordinates staff development, and enforces health and safety standards in a dynamic school dining environment.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent management experience, with knowledge of USDA guidelines, procurement and inventory, and strong training and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of USDA guidelines and procedures.
• Procurement policies, inventory control, personnel management and food production methods.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new software.
• Ability to develop and evaluate training materials and staff development programs.
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate food service managers at designated campuses.
• Support efforts to deliver high quality meals across all sites.
• Plan renovation and new kitchen site coordination.
• Assist with recruiting, retaining and training staff.
• Educate managers on department rules, regulations and standards.
• Coordinate staff development and in-service training programs.
• Perform visitation reviews to evaluate campus operations.
• Foster a positive environment encouraging feedback and ideas.
• Ensure meal items meet menu specifications safely per guidelines.
• Enforce city health regulations and food safety.
• Demonstrate professional, ethical and responsible behavior.
• Attend meetings and participate in departmental planning and updates.
• Engage in continuing education to maintain professional standards.
• Follow Plano ISD policies and supervisor directives; respect attendance rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned by administration.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent management experience

Sanitation certification

Insurable driving record
