Job summary

7-Eleven is seeking a Food Research and Development Manager to lead technical R&D and commercialization for its Private Brands portfolio. You will ensure products are developed, tested for shelf life, and maintained with scientific rigor, while meeting QA standards and regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to drive innovation, renovations, and ongoing improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
• 6–12 years of relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical R&D and commercialization for innovation, renovation and maintenance initiatives.
• Ensure development, regulatory compliance, QA standards and shelf-life considerations.
• Translate concepts into scalable, manufacturable formulations and processes for launch.
• Own product performance over shelf life; define test strategies and manage risk.
• Ensure compliance with food regulations and QA standards.
• Collaborate with QA, Regulatory, Legal, and Sensory for approvals and audits.
• Serve as primary technical partner to co-manufacturers for quality and compliance.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement with suppliers and internal teams.
• Support supplier performance management; contribute to scorecards and CAPAs.
• Work with Strategic Sourcing to qualify and onboard new suppliers via technical evaluations.
