Job summary

7-Eleven in Irving, TX seeks a Senior Manager, Equipment, Packaging & System Design to lead the technical innovation strategy for Fresh Food & Beverage operations, driving development and optimization of equipment, packaging, and systems across the store network.

This role partners with Product Development, Operations, Design, Supply Chain, QA, and external manufacturers to deliver scalable solutions and establish technical standards that enable safe, efficient, and profitable store execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field related to equipment, packaging, or food systems.
• 10+ years of relevant work experience in equipment design, packaging, or foodservice tech.
• 5+ years of management experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technical specialists in creating equipment, packaging, and system solutions for fresh food and beverage operations.
• Own the complete technical solution lifecycle from concept through commercialization and post-launch optimization.
• Establish and maintain technical standards, specifications, testing protocols, and qualification processes for products and systems.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Store Operations, Design, Supply Chain, QA, and external manufacturers to deliver scalable solutions.
• Drive the strategic roadmap for equipment engineering and automation, evaluating emerging technologies and smart kitchen solutions.
• Manage capital project budgets, vendor partnerships, and procurement processes to ensure ROI and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health codes across multi-site operations.
