Job summary

ARCO Design/Build is seeking a Superintendent with 5+ years as a lead superintendent on large food processing and manufacturing construction projects. The role oversees field operations, shell and process installations, and commissioning, ensuring on-schedule, within-budget delivery with strict food safety and quality standards.

Collaborate with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and equipment suppliers, enforcing safety and QA policies and guiding turn-over to operations.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years as lead superintendent on food and beverage projects.
• Experience with sitework, shell, process equipment installation, commissioning, start-up, turnover.
• Coordinate multiple vendors and owner representatives throughout construction.
• Strong knowledge of food safety design criteria across all phases.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Attend project kickoff and assist in preplanning.
• Develop construction schedule with project manager and staffing plan.
• Ensure adequate manpower to meet schedules.
• Direct and supervise craft superintendents and foremen.
• Coordinate subcontractors and equipment to align with timeline.
• Maintain safety and quality control per company policies.
• Prepare progress and cost reports.
• Interface with owners, design teams, and vendors through commissioning and turnover.
