Job summary

Ardelle Associates, Inc. seeks Senior FOIA Analysts to support the DEA in Arlington, Virginia. The role focuses on reviewing FOIA/PA requests, collecting records, and ensuring proper disclosures and redactions while maintaining case notes.

Qualified candidates have at least five years of FOIA Analyst experience, proficiency with FOIAXpress, and strong communication skills. US citizenship and the ability to obtain an SBU clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Five years of FOIA Analyst experience.
• Proficiency with FOIAXpress.
• Excellent written and oral communication and thorough knowledge of legal research tools.
• Hands-on familiarity with word processing, database, spreadsheet, and telecommunications applications.
• Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure.
• Must pass a Background Investigation for an SBU security clearance.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming FOIA/PA requests and verify forms.
• Search, collect, and organize records under DEA control.
• Scan FOIA documents into FOIAXpress.
• Initiate checks in law enforcement databases and FOIAXpress tracking.
• Analyze information and evaluate data for public disclosure.
• Redact documents per FOIA exemptions and annotate accordingly.
• Maintain detailed case notes on all assigned cases.
• Draft responses and coordinate disclosures for agency entities.
• Answer requester inquiries and guide to FOIA/PA resources.
