Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a senior Fluids Systems Engineer to work within the MK1 Fluids Systems Engineering team. You will apply your fluids and propulsion expertise, lead subsystem trade studies, and drive integration across subsystems and overall vehicle design.

As part of a skilled team, you will mentor others, communicate clearly, and contribute to a culture of safety and inclusion. The role involves collaboration with engineering, test, and operations to advance lunar vehicle programs.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a similar technical field.
• 8+ years of proven experience in fluids, propulsion, or aerospace systems.
• Experience with fluid/gas components (solenoid valves, manifolds, pumps, regulators).
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive multi-subsystem integration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven track record across the full SE development cycle (concept, requirements, design, analysis, integration, test).
• Mentoring within team and ability to provide technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Work at significant technical depth on complex subsystems with minimal oversight.
• Lead subsystem trade studies from concept through implementation.
• Tackle fluid systems tasks including design/integration, 1st order analysis, and test support.
• Ensure timely updates and communication of subsystem architecture diagrams and schematics.
• Apply systems engineering fundamentals across the life cycle including concept, requirements, design, analysis, safety, verification, and test.
• Integrate between fluids and propulsion subsystems and overall vehicle design.
