Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle is seeking a Level 4 Fluids Engineer to design, analyze, and test fluid systems for aerospace vehicles and collaborate across engineering teams. The role emphasizes modeling, testing, and documentation to ensure safe, repeatable spaceflight.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in fluids/engineering, experience with piping, P&IDs, and standard piping components, plus proficiency with multiple analysis tools. U.S. citizen or eligible status is required.

Qualifications

  • Four-year aerospace or mechanical engineering degree (or similar discipline).
  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with piping, fabrication, and documentation control.
  • Knowledge of piping system components and common fabrication methods.
  • Experience with analysis tools for piping and fluid systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and test fluid systems including pneumatic, cryogenic, thermal, and environmental control systems.
  • Develop and validate models of fluid systems using relevant software tools.
  • Conduct experiments and analyze data to understand system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate fluid systems into aerospace vehicles.
  • Prepare technical documentation and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Ensure designs comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input for continuous improvement.
