Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer I - Fluid Systems based in Long Beach, CA. You will develop, implement, and improve propulsion component manufacturing processes with strong expertise in additive manufacturing, machining, welding, assembly, and quality control.

The role requires 5+ years: OTW, TIG welding, and fabrication methods, plus experience operating a tube shop. You will lead process improvements, collaborate with engineering, and coordinate cross-functional teams for

Qualifications

Develop and qualify welding and fabrication of tubing components per aerospace specs.
Use TIG, MIG, OTW and other welding methods to ensure structural integrity.
Inspect welded components using NDE/NDT to identify defects.
Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret design specifications.
Lead root cause investigations and containment when needed.
Drive manufacturing improvements with Lean/Six Sigma methods.
Coordinate with production, quality, supply chain and design for complex changes.
